Here is my fist painting of the semester. It's for my Editorial Illustration class, a new elective, which I'm already enjoying very much. The first assignment was to select a proverb and using a current event illustrate what you think the proverb meant.
I choose "your sins will find you out" and the concept is how one can become consumed and "imprisoned" by their bills and debt (represented by the credit cards), which is now becoming more of the norm. Took me forever of course, my hand hurts just thinking about it, but it was worth it! I'll post up more sketches soon.

p.s.my fav. part is you only chose to show that person's hands, and let the rest fade in darkness,simple+subtle+clever!
