Is This America?

This is my 2nd assignment for my editorial illustration class. We read an article about religious prejudice in America, which is currently focused on Muslims. The idea was the hands are trying to repress the Muslim woman so much that they have created a barrier against her. I didn't use red, white and blue colors on purpose because I thought it was cheese it up too much. I love how it came out, hope someone from NY times sees this. I'll put up the sketches for this soon, I have them on my flash drive somewhere.
